A serious traffic accident occurred in Taoyuan City, Taiwan, today, involving a car and pedestrians outside the Bade District Office. According to initial reports, a 67-year-old man, identified as Mr. Chen, was driving his vehicle towards Daxi along Zhongshan Road from Sanyuan Temple around 11:00 AM. Approaching the intersection of Zhongshan Road and Xingfeng Road, Mr. Chen's vehicle reportedly veered off course without braking, colliding with pedestrians outside the district office.

The impact resulted in two pedestrians sustaining critical injuries, with no vital signs observed at the scene. The ground was reportedly stained with blood. Mr. Chen was rushed to the hospital and is currently in a coma. The passenger in the front seat, a 71-year-old woman identified as Ms. Zhao, was conscious. Authorities are investigating the full circumstances of the accident.

The Taoyuan City Fire Department received a report at approximately 10:46 AM. A total of 25 firefighters, five fire engines, and six ambulances were dispatched to the scene. The incident involved a car and pedestrians. Four individuals were injured. Two individuals were trapped and were subsequently extricated using specialized equipment. Emergency medical personnel provided on-site care, including wound cleaning, bandaging, and stabilization procedures.
