A cycling tour organized by 康橋 International School in Taiwan has taken a tragic turn after a student was critically injured in a collision with a car in Pingtung County.

The incident occurred during the school's cycling "rite of passage" activity when a car, reportedly driving in the wrong direction, collided with the students. Seven students were injured, along with the driver of the vehicle.

One student sustained severe injuries, including a significant head wound. Transferred to Changhua Christian Hospital for urgent care, the student is reported to be in critical condition with a昏迷指數 (coma index) of 3, indicating a severe head injury.

The injured student, his head bandaged, was transferred from Erlin Christian Hospital to Changhua Christian Hospital at approximately 12:15 PM today, accompanied by teachers. Medical staff immediately began treating the student upon arrival, including wound care and a CT scan.
