Kinmen's Thick Fog Disrupts Flights, Stranding Hundreds of Travelers
Flights at Kinmen Airport Delayed and Canceled, Leaving Passengers Frustrated and Seeking Solutions

Kinmen has experienced two consecutive days of severe disruption to air travel due to dense fog, severely impacting flight operations at the Shang-Yi Airport. Following widespread delays and cancellations yesterday, the airport was again closed this morning due to poor visibility, only resuming normal take-off and landing at 10:30 AM.
With flights disrupted for two days running, over a thousand passengers have been stranded. Many have been waiting for nearly two days, creating a tense atmosphere at the airport. Frustrated travelers are voicing their desire to return home.
Yesterday, Shang-Yi Airport canceled a total of 25 flights. This morning, the fog led to the cancellation of an additional 9 flights, bringing the total affected flights over the two days to more than 30. This has resulted in significant passenger congestion at the airport, which is now packed with stranded travelers.
