Eye-Gouging Incident Shocks Taiwan: Investigation Underway in Shuangxi

A horrifying act of violence in Shuangxi, Taiwan, leaves a man hospitalized as authorities investigate the circumstances.

An appalling incident of violence has shaken the community of Shuangxi, New Taipei City, Taiwan. Following a physical altercation, a man, identified as Jian, allegedly gouged out the eyes of another man, Lian. The incident has led to Jian being investigated for attempted murder by the authorities.

According to reports, Jian's mother claims that Lian initiated the confrontation. She stated that her son was initially attacked and had his teeth knocked out with a brick before retaliating. She also suggested that Lian may have been under the influence of medication at the time of the incident.

The victim, Lian, remains hospitalized in the intensive care unit due to the severity of his injuries.

The two men, Jian and Lian, are neighbors in Shuangxi, residing on Taiping Road. Their families have a long history in the area. Jian's and Lian's fathers, years ago, ran a hardware store and an appliance store respectively. Lian's father passed away last year, and Lian has been living with his mother since.
