A popular Japanese-owned rice ball shop in the Gushan District of Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, known for its delicious and diverse rice ball offerings, recently experienced an unfortunate incident. Following a dispute with the landlady, the Japanese owner was dismayed when she damaged items outside the shop.

The incident has prompted support from the community, including Legislator Huang Jie. Recognizing the shop's popularity and the owner's contribution to the local food scene, Huang Jie visited the establishment to express her concern and support. She hopes the rice ball shop will thrive in a new location.

Huang Jie emphasized that her constituency is home to a delightful Japanese-style rice ball shop, celebrated for its unique and friendly owner. She expressed her disappointment at the incident, stating that while rental disputes can arise, violence is never acceptable. "On the day of the incident, I immediately requested the police to provide additional assistance for the safety of both parties, and patrols have been increased in recent days," she stated.
