Taiwan's Opposition Rally: A Night of Solidarity Amidst Legal Scrutiny
KMT Leaders Gather in Taipei to Support Party Members Facing Investigation

In a show of solidarity, key figures from Taiwan's opposition party, the Kuomintang (KMT), rallied in Taipei late last night. The gathering was in response to a legal investigation concerning alleged document forgery related to a recent recall effort. The Taipei District Prosecutors Office conducted a search of the KMT's Taipei City branch and questioned its chairperson, 黃呂錦茹 (Huang Lu Chin-ju).
KMT Chairman 朱立倫 (Chu Li-lun) issued a call to action, urging party officials and supporters to gather outside the Taipei District Prosecutors Office in a show of support. Following 黃呂錦茹's (Huang Lu Chin-ju) transfer to the prosecutor's office late last night, 朱立倫 (Chu Li-lun) announced a "night watch" initiative.
As of 2:30 AM, key figures like 朱立倫 (Chu Li-lun), Legislators 許宇甄 (Hsu Yu-chen), 王鴻薇 (Wang Hung-wei), 謝龍介 (Hsieh Lung-chieh), 鄭正鈐 (Cheng Cheng-chian), and KMT spokesperson 楊智伃 (Yang Chih-yu) remained at the scene. Approximately one hundred supporters remained present, despite the late hour. Local police continued to provide security.
