Eva Air Apologizes After Business Class Passenger Finds Moldy Strawberries

Eva Air, a major airline in Taiwan, has issued an apology following a food safety incident involving a business class passenger. The passenger, who was flying from Paris to Taiwan on April 19th, reported finding moldy strawberries in their meal. This incident reportedly caused the passenger to experience symptoms after disembarking the flight.

The passenger described their experience, noting that while the initial strawberry tasted "not so fresh," there was no apparent off-flavor. It was only upon inspecting the second strawberry, while preparing to remove the stem, that they discovered the mold. The cabin crew chief reportedly offered their apologies, provided a $100 USD voucher, and promised to file a report regarding the incident.

The passenger expressed a desire for a more personal response from Eva Air, seeking proactive communication regarding the handling of the situation rather than standard official statements. They want to know how Eva Air will handle this case, beyond standard customer service through the customer service department.
