Taiwan Tourist Terrified: Assault in Kaohsiung Prompts Fear of Return

A recent incident in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, has left a tourist from northern Taiwan shaken and hesitant to return. The incident, which unfolded in the popular tourist district of Cijin, involved an assault following a parking dispute.

The tourist, identified as Mr. Zheng from Taoyuan, was visiting Cijin and parked his car along Cijin 3rd Road, in front of a private temple, while intending to go to a nearby convenience store. Mr. Zheng stated that there were no red lines marking the area and that his parking was lawful.

However, he was confronted by a 37-year-old man, identified as Huang, who demanded he move his vehicle, claiming the space was reserved for their vehicles. When Mr. Zheng questioned this, Huang physically attacked him. The entire event was subsequently documented and shared by Mr. Zheng on social media.

Mr. Zheng expressed his dismay online, stating, "I dare not go to Cijin again. This kind of public safety is too terrifying!"
