Taiwan Confronts Public Indecency: Motorcyclist Caught in Act

In Kaohsiung, Taiwan, a 20-year-old water and electricity worker, identified as Li, has been apprehended after being filmed engaging in a lewd act while stopped at a red light. The incident, which occurred around 8 a.m. on the 23rd of the month, involved Li, riding a motorcycle, performing a self-gratifying act in close proximity to a female motorcyclist. The act was captured on camera by another driver and subsequently shared online, prompting widespread condemnation.

The footage, which quickly circulated on social media, drew negative reactions with comments such as "abnormal" and comparing the act to "roasting sausages" on the motorcycle's fuel tank. Authorities used the vehicle’s information to track Li down, eventually notifying him to report to the police. Upon questioning, Li cited work-related stress as a contributing factor for his actions.

According to the Fengshan Police Precinct, Li will be processed in accordance with relevant laws pertaining to sexual harassment. Additionally, he will be referred to the Kaohsiung District Prosecutors Office for potential prosecution under Article 234 of the Criminal Code, which addresses public indecency.
