Major Traffic Collision in Taichung's Shalu District Leaves Multiple Injured

Multiple Vehicles Involved in a Serious Accident, Including a Truck, Resulting in Several Injuries and Critical Condition

A significant traffic accident occurred this morning in the Shalu District of Taichung City, Taiwan, at the intersection of Lushang Road and Xiangshang Road. The incident involved a large truck and several other vehicles, leading to a multi-vehicle collision.

Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene following the crash. Initial reports indicate that at least seven individuals sustained injuries of varying severity and were transported to local hospitals for treatment. One person is reported to be in critical condition. The newly installed section speed cameras at the accident location were also damaged during the collision.

The Taichung City Fire Department received the call at 10:13 AM this morning. A total of five fire and rescue units, including the 4th Brigade and the Shalu branch, were dispatched. The response included 8 fire trucks, 5 ambulances, and a team of 29 firefighters. Commander Wu Jin-zong is overseeing the operations at the scene, where the police are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
