Taichung's

The city of Taichung, Taiwan, is adding a touch of romance to its landscape! The Taichung City Construction Bureau is upgrading the streetlights along Huashan Road, replacing them with energy-efficient LED fixtures to create a "Pink Highway." Mayor Lu Shiow-yen has affectionately nicknamed it the "Barbie Highway." The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of May, which is intended to complement the "Blue Highway" on Hwanan Road, forming a unique "Pink-Blue Necklace" in the Mount Dadu area.

Construction Bureau Director Chen Ta-tien recently inspected the site, joined by City Councilor Lin Hao-yu, Dadu District Chief Yang Ming-kun, and numerous local community leaders. They expressed keen interest in the project's progress, hoping for the early completion of this new nighttime attraction to boost local development and tourism.
