Unusual weather conditions caused significant disruption in Toufen City, Miaoli County, Taiwan this morning. Strong, gusting winds swept through the area, leading to dramatic scenes and prompting safety concerns.

Reports indicate that the strong winds knocked over motorcycle riders near the Shiguanyin Temple in Toufen City. While initial reports suggested the possible formation of a tornado, it ultimately did not materialize.

In a separate incident, a large truck was overturned along Provincial Highway No. 1 near Toufen, likely due to the extreme wind speeds. Fortunately, the driver, Mr. Xu, was unharmed. The Miaoli County Fire Department responded to the scene around 8 AM this morning.
