Restaurant Colleagues Involved in Fatal Motorcycle Crash Following Dinner Outing, Prompting Company Response.

A devastating accident in Taiwan has claimed the life of one and seriously injured two others, all employees of a TASTy Steakhouse (西堤牛排) branch. The incident occurred after a dinner gathering involving three colleagues.

The accident happened in Keelung (基隆) when 26-year-old Liao, riding a motorcycle and carrying a female colleague, Huang, home, collided with another motorcycle ridden by Qiu while preparing to make a turn. Liao succumbed to his injuries, and Huang was critically injured. The police are investigating the scene.

The tragedy has left a community in shock. The mother of the deceased, Liao, was visibly distraught, expressing confusion and grief.

Wang’s (王品) headquarters, the parent company of TASTy Steakhouse (西堤牛排), has issued a statement, expressing deep sorrow over the incident. "We are deeply saddened by this accident involving our colleagues. We have offered our condolences to the families and are committed to assisting with the aftermath. We will provide all possible support to the families and will reiterate the importance of traffic safety to our employees," the company stated.
