Taiwan's Labor Ministry Announces Major Personnel Reshuffle: New Leaders Appointed

The Taiwan Ministry of Labor has announced a significant personnel reshuffle, marking one of the largest internal reorganizations in recent years. Several key appointments have been made across various departments, signaling a shift in leadership and strategic focus.

The most notable changes include the move of the former Director-General of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), 鄒子廉 (Zou Zi-lian), to the position of Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Labor. 林毓堂 (Lin Yu-tang), previously the Deputy Director-General of OSHA, will now serve as the Director-General, stepping into the role previously held by 鄒子廉 (Zou Zi-lian).

Following the recent bullying incident within the Northern Branch of the Workforce Development Agency, the vacant Director-General position has been filled by 黃齡玉 (Huang Ling-yu), formerly the Deputy Director-General of the agency. Furthermore, the new Director-General of the Northern Branch will be 沈文麗 (Shen Wen-li), who previously held the position of Director of the Training Development Division within the Workforce Development Agency.

According to the Ministry of Labor, this is a substantial internal reshuffle. Minister 洪申翰 (Hung Shen-han) praised the new appointees, noting their extensive experience and positive reputations. He specifically acknowledged 鄒子廉 (Zou Zi-lian), 林毓堂 (Lin Yu-tang), 黃齡玉 (Huang Ling-yu), and 沈文麗 (Shen Wen-li) as highly qualified civil servants. Minister 洪申翰 (Hung Shen-han) expressed his gratitude to them for accepting their new responsibilities, emphasizing the need for both stability and innovation as they lead their teams and continue to serve the public.
