From Divorce to Deadly Orders: Taiwanese Man's Three Attempts to Murder His Ex-Wife

In a chilling case mirroring a cinematic thriller, a man from Taoyuan, Taiwan, identified as Mr. Wang, orchestrated a series of desperate attempts to end his ex-wife's life. The events unfolded after their divorce, fueled by Mr. Wang's suspicions of infidelity and his subsequent jealousy.

The couple, who had been married for eight years and shared a son, divorced in June of last year. Shortly after the divorce, Mr. Wang discovered his ex-wife, Ms. Liao, had begun a new relationship. Consumed by resentment, he sought out a man known as 阿駩 (A-Jing), aged 24, to "take care of the situation." A-Jing, in turn, recruited a group of individuals, including 22-year-old Cheng, 30-year-old Luo, 18-year-old Xiong, 19-year-old Li, and a minor identified as Huang.

Over a period of two months, the group allegedly carried out three separate attempts on Ms. Liao's life. These included staging a car accident and planning a robbery. Fortunately, the police intervened and apprehended those involved. The Taoyuan District Prosecutors Office has indicted the six individuals on charges of attempted murder, and the juvenile, Huang, has been transferred to a juvenile court.
