Tragedy in Taichung: Young Mother and Two Daughters Perish in House Fire
A young woman's independent spirit and devotion to her children cut tragically short in a devastating blaze.

A devastating fire in Taichung, Taiwan, claimed the lives of a 26-year-old mother and her two young daughters early this morning. The blaze occurred in a residential area of Dali District, leaving a community in mourning.
According to the mother's 阿姨 (Aunt), the young woman was known for her independence and devotion to her family. She faced significant hardship throughout her life. She gave birth to a child at the age of 16 and worked odd jobs to raise her son. She later married and had two daughters, but eventually divorced. Afterward, she worked as a factory worker to support her daughters.
The Taichung Fire Department received the call at 0:10 AM and dispatched seven fire stations to the scene. Upon arrival, firefighters found a row of 透天厝 (townhouses) engulfed in flames. They immediately began search and rescue operations, discovering the three victims—the mother and her 7-year-old and 5-year-old daughters—in a bedroom on the third floor.
