Taiwan High School Student Admits to Filming Teachers, Faces Legal Repercussions

In Tainan, Taiwan, a student from a well-regarded National High School has admitted to secretly filming female teachers during their time at school. The student used their mobile phone to record under their skirts and capture images of their undergarments, subsequently uploading the videos to the internet. The teachers reported the incidents, and the case proceeded through the legal system.

The prosecution, however, discovered the student was under the age of 18 at the time of the offense. The Tainan District Court ruled that the prosecution should have been directed to a juvenile court, and declared the case inadmissible as presented.

According to the indictment, the male student, attending the National High School in Tainan between 2019 and 2022, repeatedly used their phone's recording function to secretly film the private areas beneath the skirts and the undergarments of three female teachers. The recorded videos were then uploaded to a TELEGRAM group, making them accessible to an unspecified number of viewers.
