Taiwanese Business Owner Sentenced to 8 Years for Sexual Assault: Courageous Employees Capture Evidence
Employees' bravery leads to justice in a case of sexual assault and abuse in Kaohsiung.

In a significant case from Kaohsiung, Taiwan, a businessman, identified as Mr. Su, has been sentenced to eight years in prison for sexually assaulting two female employees. The court's decision comes after a thorough investigation and the presentation of compelling evidence.
The case unfolded when Mr. Su was accused of sexually assaulting his employees. Prosecutors, using hidden camera footage, found evidence of at least six instances of sexual assault and 猥褻 (wei xie, meaning "indecent assault" or "molestation"). Mr. Su was charged with offenses against sexual autonomy, and the prosecution sought a severe sentence. The Kaohsiung District Court found Mr. Su guilty and handed down the eight-year prison sentence, which can be appealed.
The incidents began in August of the previous year when Mr. Su allegedly lured one of the female employees to a back storage room under the pretense of helping with moving items. There, he sexually assaulted her. Following this distressing event, the victim’s distress was noticed by another designer at the business. The two women subsequently shared their experiences, revealing that both had been sexually assaulted by Mr. Su.
