The Immigration Agency in Taiwan has addressed the recent denial of entry to South Korean streamer Yoo Yoon-jin, also known as "Penguin_Girl", despite her possession of a cultural arts employment gold card. The agency clarified the situation today.

The reason for the entry ban stems from prior instances where Yoo Yoon-jin engaged in unauthorized employment within Taiwan, leading to a sanction from labor authorities. The Immigration Agency has stated that this prior violation is the legal basis for the current entry restriction.

Yoo Yoon-jin, a popular South Korean streamer, gained significant attention in 2023 for her live-streamed, on-foot circumnavigation of Taiwan. The walk generated a great deal of public interest, including concern when she experienced a man following her.
