In response to the potential imposition of a 32% tariff by the United States under the leadership of President Trump, impacting various sectors in Taiwan, Premier Cho Jung-tai announced a significant financial commitment today. The Taiwanese government will inject NT$88 billion into a comprehensive support package aimed at assisting local industries.

The Premier unveiled the initiative during a press conference, outlining nine key areas of focus and a total of twenty specific measures designed to mitigate the impact of the proposed tariffs.

Premier Cho Jung-tai began the press conference by expressing his regret for the delay in the announcement and emphasized the critical need for national unity during this challenging period. He urged industries to support one another and encouraged the public to demonstrate mutual care and trust.
