A disturbing incident unfolded in Taoyuan, Taiwan, this morning when a 44-year-old woman, identified as Ms. Liao, reportedly brandished a knife following an argument with a beverage shop employee. The altercation escalated, leading to the stabbing of a 3-year-old girl.

According to the girl's mother, the incident occurred as they were arriving at her beauty salon on Long'an Street. The mother witnessed an argument between Ms. Liao and the beverage shop's employee. When the mother and an employee from the neighboring shop, Ms. Chen, intervened to de-escalate the situation, Ms. Liao produced a small folding knife.

The mother recounts the terrifying moment as the two tried to protect themselves and the child, using umbrellas to defend against the woman. However, Ms. Liao then turned and stabbed the little girl in the back. The girl’s mother was left shaken. Fortunately, the girl’s thick jacket provided some protection, preventing serious injury to any organs. The incident could have been much worse.
