Former Taipei Mayor Ko Wen-je Discharged from Hospital After Successful Surgery

Former Taipei Mayor Ko Wen-je was discharged from the Ministry of Health and Welfare Taipei Hospital today, following a surgical procedure to address a ureteral stone that caused left kidney hydronephrosis. The surgery took place at the hospital, and Ko Wen-je was seen leaving the facility in a wheelchair at approximately 1:45 PM local time.

The Taipei Hospital has confirmed that Ko Wen-je's post-operative recovery has been progressing well. He appeared somewhat weary as he was escorted to a waiting white van. Supporters were present and offered words of encouragement, shouting "Keep it up, Uncle!".

When questioned by reporters about his current health status and potential legal actions, Ko Wen-je did not respond.
