Tragic Accident in Chiayi: Woman Dies After Being Trapped Under Car
Investigations Underway After Elderly Woman's Death Raises Concerns About Potential Contributing Factors

In Chiayi, Taiwan, a recent traffic incident has led to a sensitive investigation following the death of an elderly woman. On November 10th, a 70-year-old woman, identified as Ms. Lin, was involved in a car accident while riding her scooter on Xingye East Road.
The incident involved a passenger car driven by a 43-year-old woman, Ms. Xu. Ms. Lin was reportedly trapped under the car and was extracted with the assistance of a forklift from a nearby construction site. At the time of her rescue, Ms. Lin was conscious and taken to the hospital for treatment, suffering from multiple abrasions. Both drivers were tested and found to be sober.
Tragically, Ms. Lin passed away the following day, on November 11th, at noon. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident, including the possibility of a illegally parked vehicle at the scene. Police are trying to find if it was the cause of the crash.
