Night Shift Husband Learns the Truth: A Tale of Infidelity and Legal Battles in Taiwan
A Taiwanese Man's Heartbreak Leads to a Courtroom Showdown, But Justice Takes an Unexpected Turn.

In a compelling case unfolding in Taichung City, Taiwan, a man working the night shift discovered a devastating truth about his marriage. Married for over a decade and father to a daughter, he learned of his wife's affair.
The revelation came from his own daughter. The wife was frequently messaging with another man late into the night. Upon investigating, the husband found evidence of intimate conversations, including expressions of love, shared trips, and visits to a motel. The man and his wife divorced late last year.
Seeking compensation for the emotional distress, the husband filed a lawsuit against both his ex-wife and the other man, demanding 800,000 New Taiwan Dollars (NTD). However, the court ruled in favor of the defendants. The judge determined that the other man was unaware of the wife's marital status when the relationship began. Moreover, the husband had agreed to relinquish his right to seek damages during the divorce proceedings, leading to the court's decision.
The husband, married twelve years prior, discovered his wife's activities in July of the previous year, after being informed by his daughter. The wife was found to be exchanging late-night messages with an individual nicknamed "Jia Jia." The messages included intimate language, confirming the affair.
