Taiwan Taoyuan Airport Soars: Crowned Best for Baggage Delivery by Skytrax!

Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport continues to shine, earning the prestigious title of "World's Best Airport for Baggage Delivery 2025" by Skytrax, a leading air transport rating organization. This achievement further solidifies the airport's reputation for efficiency and passenger satisfaction.

This top honor places Taoyuan ahead of renowned airports like Kansai International Airport in Osaka, Japan, and Singapore’s Changi Airport, showcasing its commitment to excellence in baggage handling.

Furthermore, Taoyuan Airport experienced a significant leap in the "World's Best Airports 2025" list, climbing to 43rd position from 66th the previous year. This remarkable improvement highlights the ongoing efforts to enhance the overall passenger experience.

Taoyuan Airport's success extends beyond baggage delivery. It achieved top-10 rankings in seven other award categories, reflecting its multifaceted approach to airport operations:

  • Sixth in "World’s Best Airports Serving 40 to 50 million Passengers."
  • Fourth in "World’s Best Airport Immigration Service 2025."
  • Fifth in "The World’s Most Improved Airports 2025."
  • Seventh in "Best Airport Staff in Asia 2025."
  • Ninth in both "World’s Cleanest Airports 2025 — Major Airports" and "World’s Best Airport Washrooms 2025."

Yang Wei-fuu (楊偉甫), Chairman of Taoyuan International Airport Corp (TIAC), attributed this success to the dedicated efforts of the airport's 35,000 staff members. He also highlighted the collaborative work with airlines and ground handling companies to improve services, especially following the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Edward Plaisted, Skytrax chief executive officer, praised Taoyuan Airport for its "strong commitment to operational efficiency and service quality," emphasizing that the awards recognize its dedication to enhancing the overall passenger experience.

Looking ahead, TIAC is set to complete the north concourse of Terminal 3 in the second half of the year. This new facility promises to further enhance infrastructure and provide even better services for travelers and airlines.

The Skytrax "World Airport Awards," established in 1999, are recognized as a crucial benchmark for the airport industry, evaluating customer service and facilities at over 500 airports globally. Singapore’s Changi Airport topped the overall "World’s Best Airports 2025" list, followed by Hamad International Airport in Doha and Haneda Airport in Tokyo.
