Taiwan & North Macedonia: Visa-Free Travel Extended to 2030!
Enjoy hassle-free travel between Taiwan and North Macedonia for the next five years.

Taipei, April 1 – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) announced on Tuesday that Taiwan and North Macedonia have solidified their commitment to easy travel by extending their visa-free agreement.
This extension, effective from April 1, 2025, to March 31, 2030, allows citizens of both nations to visit each other's territories without visas.
Travelers from Taiwan and North Macedonia can enjoy stays of up to 90 days within any 180-day period.
MOFA confirmed that updated information is available on the respective foreign ministries' websites.
The visa-free program, initially established in 2012, continues to apply to Taiwanese citizens holding passports with national identification card numbers, signifying they are registered residents and possess full civil and political rights in Taiwan.
It's important to note that some overseas Taiwanese citizens with Republic of China (Taiwan) passports may not possess household registration in Taiwan.
MOFA also advises travelers to North Macedonia to respect local laws and regulations.
For urgent assistance while in North Macedonia, Taiwanese citizens can contact Taiwan's representative office in Italy (responsible for North Macedonia) at +39-366-806-6434 or the MOFA's 24/7 emergency hotline in Taipei at 0800-085-095.
