Bangkok Building Collapse: Two Confirmed Dead After Powerful Earthquake

In the wake of a devastating earthquake, a building in Bangkok has collapsed, leading to a tragic situation. Reports indicate that the death toll has risen to two, with rescue operations ongoing to locate and assist those trapped in the rubble.

The Guardian reports that emergency responders in Thailand are working tirelessly following the collapse, which is linked to a 7.7 magnitude earthquake that occurred in Myanmar. Initial reports indicated one fatality and 50 injuries, with around 43 people initially believed to be trapped.

The Associated Press (AP) indicates that rescuers have successfully extracted seven more individuals. However, the exact number of people still trapped within the debris remains unknown, intensifying the urgency of the search and rescue efforts in the Chatuchak district of Bangkok.
