In a curious incident unfolding in Taiwan, a woman's attempt to visit a friend in Taipei took an unexpected turn, leading to police involvement. The story highlights an issue of unpaid taxi fares and a potential case of mistaken identity.

The incident began when a woman identified as Zhong, around 35 years old, hailed a taxi in Taoyuan's Guishan District on March 6th. She requested to be taken to Zhongzheng District in Taipei, claiming she was going to visit a friend. Upon arrival, she informed the driver, identified as Lin, that she had no money and needed her friend to cover the 775 NTD fare.

Lin, the taxi driver, accompanied Zhong to the address to locate this "friend." However, when the door opened, the person who answered emphatically stated they did not know Zhong. At that point, Lin immediately contacted the police.

Upon the police's arrival and investigation, it was revealed that Zhong was also a person of interest, being wanted on a warrant related to a theft case, leading to her arrest and subsequent legal proceedings.
