Rat Trouble at Taiwan's Popular "Jyun Doufu" Restaurant in Taipei: Health Concerns Spark Investigation
Customers Report Illness After Seeing Rodents at Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Branch; Health Officials Launch Inspection.

A health concern has emerged at the "Jyun Doufu" restaurant, a popular Korean cuisine chain in Taiwan. Customers dining at the Shin Kong Mitsukoshi branch in Taipei's Dazhi district recently reported a disturbing incident: a rodent seen moving in the ceiling. Following the meal, several diners experienced health issues, with one individual diagnosed with acute gastroenteritis.
The Taipei City Health Bureau has confirmed the incident and initiated an investigation. Authorities were notified yesterday and a site inspection was conducted today.
In response to the allegations, Jyun Doufu stated that all food supplies were discarded and a comprehensive cleaning and disinfection of the restaurant was carried out after the incident. Furthermore, the company engaged a professional disinfection service on March 23rd to conduct a more extensive disinfection operation. Because the restaurant is located in an open area, they will work with the department store to carry out additional measures to ensure customer safety and comfort. Another round of professional disinfection will be performed today to further enhance the dining environment and give customers peace of mind.
