Race to the Top: Registration Opens for the 2025 Taipei 101 Run Up!

Taipei, Taiwan – Get ready to climb! Online registration for the highly anticipated 2025 Taipei 101 Run Up, the thrilling race up the iconic Taipei 101 skyscraper, kicks off this Thursday at noon, organizers announced on Wednesday.

Taipei 101's chairperson, Janet Chia (賈永婕), shared the exciting news during a press conference, highlighting that the 5,200 available spots for the race, scheduled for May 3, are anticipated to be snapped up swiftly.

"I think Taipei 101 Run Up can be considered one of Taiwan's most famous, most representative competitive events," Chia said, emphasizing the event's prestige within Taiwan.

Adding to the event's appeal, Chia announced that 15 percent of the registration fees will be contributed to four impactful charities: Basegarden, Teach For Taiwan, World Vision, and CTBC Charity Foundation. This creates a chance for the participants to do some good while pushing their physical limits.

Further fueling the excitement, Chou Szu-chi (周思齊), a former professional baseball player and founder of Basegarden, has been appointed as an "ambassador" for the event, adding star power and a message of inspiration.

Speaking at the conference, Chou acknowledged the physical challenge ahead, saying that running up Taiwan's tallest building "should be quite exhausting."
